Asimismo, a diferencia <strong>de</strong> lo que ocurrió con las exportaciones, el egreso <strong>de</strong> divisas enconcepto <strong>de</strong> servicios <strong>de</strong> transporte y regalías explicaron una porción significativa <strong>de</strong> incremento total <strong><strong>de</strong>l</strong>as importaciones <strong>de</strong> servicios.3. La balanza comercial <strong>de</strong> ServiciosEl déficit <strong>de</strong> balanza comercial que registró el sector en el primer trimestre <strong>de</strong> 2006 presenta una reducción<strong>de</strong> U$S 30 millones con respecto al correspondiente al mismo período <strong>de</strong> 2005. Esta evolución confirmala ten<strong>de</strong>ncia que tiene lugar <strong>de</strong>s<strong>de</strong> la <strong>de</strong>valuación <strong><strong>de</strong>l</strong> peso en 2002, cuando a partir <strong><strong>de</strong>l</strong> incremento <strong>de</strong> lasventas al exterior y <strong><strong>de</strong>l</strong> <strong>de</strong>scenso <strong>de</strong> las importaciones hasta niveles por <strong>de</strong>bajo <strong>de</strong> los verificados durantela Convertibilidad, el saldo <strong>de</strong> la balanza comercial mejoró <strong>de</strong> manera significativa. 1Si se observa más en <strong>de</strong>talle, el cambio en el resultado comercial <strong>de</strong> los rubros <strong>de</strong> viajes y turismo y <strong>de</strong>servicios empresariales, profesionales y técnicos, ha incidido significativamente en la evolución positivaque mostró el saldo <strong>de</strong> balanza comercial <strong>de</strong> servicios en el primer trimestre <strong><strong>de</strong>l</strong> año. En el caso <strong>de</strong> aquelúltimo, inclusive sosteniendo un saldo favorable en el intercambio.
