Affidabilità nelle reti <strong>di</strong> sensori senza cavo<br />
2.1 IL CONCETTO DI AFFIDABILITA’<br />
L’esigenza <strong>di</strong> ottenere particolari requisiti <strong>di</strong> affidabilità dai sistemi risulta<br />
essere sempre più un argomento <strong>di</strong> primaria importanza e ha portato a<br />
continue rivisitazioni del concetto <strong>di</strong> dependability. Nel 1982 Laprie<br />
definiva la dependability <strong>di</strong> un sistema come: “...the ability of a system to<br />
accomplish the tasks (or,equivalently, to provide the service) which are<br />
expected to it” , mentre nel 2001 sempre Laprie la ridefinì come<br />
“...the ability to deliver service that can justifiably be trusted ” per poi<br />
infine definire nel 2004 la dependability <strong>di</strong> un sistema come: “...ability to<br />
avoid service failures that are more frequent and more severe than<br />
acceptable” ovvero l'abilità <strong>di</strong> un sistema <strong>di</strong> fornire un servizio che può<br />
essere considerato "fidato" in maniera giustificata.<br />
In realtà il termine va inteso come un insieme <strong>di</strong> attributi <strong>di</strong> qualità<br />
(dependability attributes) che assumono singolarmente un’enfasi relativa<br />
alla natura del sistema cui si riferiscono e al particolare contesto applicativo:<br />
