Klimato kaitos poveikis teršalų koncentracijoms jūroje bei teršalų koncentracijoms, ţmogaus maistui naudojamuose jūros produktuose Klimato kaita gali sąlygoti teršalų Baltijos jūroje toksiškumo pokyčius, suintensyvinti biomagnifikaciją, taip per mitybos grandines paveikdama visas organizmų grupes (Schiedek et al., 2007). Tokiu būdu klimato kaita gali turėti įtakos ir teršalų, esančių ţmonėms vartoti skirtose ţuvyse ir kituose jūros maisto produktuose, kaupimuisi, gali būti stebimi daţnesni atvejai, kuomet viršijamas teisės aktuose nustatytos didţiausios leistinos tam tikrų teršalų (sunkiųjų metalų, dioksinų, PCB, PAA) koncentracijos. Vis dėlto duomenų apie klimato kaitos poveikį konkretiems teršalų lygiams maistui naudojamose ţuvyse bei kituose jūros produktuose trūksta. Galima daryti prielaidą, jog klimato kaitos įtakoti pokyčiai susiję su teršalų koncentracijų pasikeitimais jūrų aplinkoje (ţr. 1.1.8 uţduotį klimato kaitos poveikis 8 deskriptoriui), gali atitinkamai įtakoti teršalų, esančių ţmonėms vartoti skirtose ţuvyse ir kituose jūros maisto produktuose, kaupimosi pokyčius.
