The study course is envisaged for the students of the professional master programme Professional Musical<br />

Subjects Teacher aiming at acquainting students to the world and Latvian percussion instruments music<br />

literature, peculiarities of musical language of composers representing different countries, basing on<br />

features of genre and style. The objectives of the study course: thorough analysis of the brightest examples<br />

of the world and Latvian percussion instruments compositions and their exploration in the context of<br />

genre and style; analysis of typical stylistic peculiarities in the context of genre ad style; listening to and<br />

analysis of the brightest examples of the world and Latvian compositions for percussion instruments<br />
