<strong>Application</strong> costs incurred to date that are $1,396 thousand, or 480<br />

percent, higher than the 2007 AMI <strong>Application</strong> costs.<br />

2012 AMI <strong>Application</strong> costs incurred to date are $2,365,000, or 860 percent, higher than the<br />

2007 AMI <strong>Application</strong> costs.<br />

Commission Order G-168-08, denying a CPCN <strong>for</strong> the 2007 AMI <strong>Application</strong>, stated, among<br />

other things, that “the Commission Panel considers that the risk <strong>of</strong> exposure to unknown costs<br />

<strong>of</strong> future elements <strong>of</strong> the program outweighs the value <strong>of</strong> any savings associated with the<br />

current AMI Project application” (page 22).
