Benefits will be realized by actively managing and using the capabilities inherent in the<br />

proposed AMI system, and concurrently eliminating the resulting unnecessary existing costs.<br />

The proposed AMI project includes the requirement to create/change processes in all impacted<br />

facets <strong>of</strong> the Company in order to ensure that “active management” occurs. The Company’s<br />

ability to realize the proposed benefits in a timely fashion is directly related to implementation <strong>of</strong><br />

the proposed AMI system as recommended within the AMI CPCN <strong>Application</strong>.<br />

Please refer to the response to BCUC IR1 Q56.3 <strong>for</strong> specific proposals to track benefits<br />

realization.<br />
