Company has forecast (in the Status Quo scenario) that an additional meter reader will be
required in each of 2014, 2017, 2020, 2023, 2026, 2029, and 2032. Each of these additional
meter readers are accompanied by an associated increase in non-labour support, vehicle and
handheld support. As a result, savings attributed to the Company’s proposed AMI Project grow
disproportionally (more than the 1.8 percent inflation rate) in those years as noted in the
question.
