Without insisting on this, nor on the circumstance that all recorded Talmudic prayers are of much later date than the time of Jesus, it may^ at the same time^ be freely admitted that here also the form, and sometimes even the spirit, approached closely to the words of our Lord. Farther details would lead beyond our present soope. It must ohap. enffice to indicate that such sayings as St. Matt.
