Hellas, from <strong>the</strong> l<strong>and</strong>s <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> barbarians, from <strong>the</strong><br />

isles, <strong>and</strong> from <strong>the</strong> continents, led by a Divine,<br />

superhuman apparition, invisible to o<strong>the</strong>rs, <strong>and</strong><br />

visible only to <strong>the</strong>mselves. On <strong>the</strong>ir arrival in<br />

Palestine <strong>the</strong> waste places <strong>and</strong> <strong>the</strong> wilderness<br />

would be inhabited, <strong>and</strong> <strong>the</strong> barren l<strong>and</strong><br />

transformed into fruitfulness.<br />
