Christ be still required, ere <strong>the</strong> miracles were<br />

received as evidence <strong>of</strong> His Divine claims.' And<br />

this need <strong>of</strong> faith was <strong>the</strong> main point.<br />

That, in view <strong>of</strong> his child's imminent death, <strong>and</strong><br />

with <strong>the</strong> knowledge he had <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> ' mighty deeds'<br />

commonly reported <strong>of</strong> <strong>Jesus</strong>, Jairus should have<br />

Jew in those days might not have spoken to a<br />
