judgment. ' A rugged line of upturned squared stones' shows the old Roman paved road to MachsBrus. Buins covering quite a square mile, on a group of undulating hills, mark the site of the ancient town of MachsBrus. Although surrounded by a wall and towers, its i)osition is supposed not to have been strategically defensible.
