Enoch beholds Israel in <strong>the</strong> Messianic time as<br />

coming in carriages, <strong>and</strong> as borne on <strong>the</strong> wings <strong>of</strong><br />

<strong>the</strong> wind from East, <strong>and</strong> West, <strong>and</strong> South.^ Fuller<br />

details <strong>of</strong> that ^k^J^J^j^.; happy event are furnished<br />

by <strong>the</strong> Jewish Sibyl. In her utterances *»"*p- *®- ^<br />

<strong>the</strong>se three events are connected toge<strong>the</strong>r: <strong>the</strong><br />

coming <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>Messiah</strong>, <strong>the</strong> rebuilding <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />

Temple,*' <strong>and</strong> <strong>the</strong> restoration <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> dis- J^*.^^<br />

persed,^ when all nations would bring <strong>the</strong>ir wealth<br />

to <strong>the</strong> House <strong>of</strong> ^^' ***-Crod.* * <strong>The</strong> latter trait<br />

specially reminds us <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>ir Hellenistic origin.<br />

worded, appears in <strong>the</strong> so-called * Psalter <strong>of</strong><br />

Solomon.' Thus <strong>the</strong> seventeenth Psalm bursts into<br />

this strain: ^ Blessed are <strong>the</strong>y who shall live in<br />

those days—in <strong>the</strong> reunion <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> tribes, which<br />

God brings about.'^ And no wonder, since <strong>the</strong>y are<br />
