well-known Hall <strong>of</strong> Hewn Polished<br />

Vomasss Stones,* where formerly <strong>the</strong> Sanhedrin<br />

had been yront to sit. <strong>The</strong> ministry for <strong>the</strong> day was<br />

for <strong>the</strong> ' lot,' which designated those who were to<br />

take part in <strong>the</strong> sacrifice itself, <strong>and</strong> who were to<br />

trim <strong>the</strong> golden c<strong>and</strong>lestick, <strong>and</strong> make ready <strong>the</strong><br />

altar <strong>of</strong> incense within <strong>the</strong> Holy Place. And now
