brought to Antipater <strong>the</strong> title <strong>of</strong> Procurator <strong>of</strong><br />

JudsBa, while Hyrcanus was left in <strong>the</strong> High-<br />

Priesthood, <strong>and</strong>, at least, nominal head <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />

people. <strong>The</strong> two sons <strong>of</strong> Antipater were now made<br />

he was to be acquitted. Even so he would have<br />

fallen a victim to <strong>the</strong> apprehensions <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>
