Resembles Hypsioma in body form but is otherwise very dis­<br />

tinct from it. Antennae with scape cylindrical, very gradually and<br />

feebly clavate from base, not capitate, third segment straight, as<br />

long as scape in male, distinctly shorter in female; antennal tu­<br />

bercles nearly contiguous ; elytra with basal gibbosity broad,<br />

feebly elevated, disk at base uniformly granulate-punctate (not<br />

granulate only on gibbosities) ; pronotllm armed each side with a<br />

robust tubercle.<br />

Moderate-sized, elongate-ovate, robust. Head with front slightly elongate,<br />

widened below lower margin of eye; genae elongate, vertical; eye with lower lobe<br />

oblong-ovate, subequal in height to gena.; antennal tubercles prominent, contiguous,<br />

armed at apex. Pronotum strongly transverse, narrowcd apically, armed latemUy<br />

with an' obtuse tubercle; disk with five small tubercles. Scutellum transverse.<br />

Elyt.m gmdually attenuate to apices, which are separately rounded; basal gibbosity<br />

feeble, disk at base .finely granulate-punctate; humeri prominent, angle tubcrculate.<br />

Prosternum simple; mesosternal process short, broad, expanded posteriorly, apex<br />

deeply, bilobedly emarginate. Legs moderately long; procoxae globose, with a<br />

small, distinct tubercle in male; femora robust, clavate, profemora in male fincly<br />

rugose above and below near base; meta tibiae strongly expanded apically in male.<br />

Antennae as long as body in female, one and one-third times as long in male;<br />

seape elongate, cylindrical, gradually clavate, attaining at least middle of pronotum;<br />

third straight, as long as scape in male, shorter than scape in female, rest gradu­<br />

ally shorter, eleventh distinctly longer than tenth in male, not so in female.<br />
