oblique, posterior margin shortly cariniform, lit angle obtusely tuberoulate. Pro<br />
sternum slightly widened between procoxae; mesosternal process apically deeply and<br />
sharply emarginate at middle; fifth sternite about one-half longer than fourth,<br />
cmarginate feebly at apex. Procoxae globose, with a strongly curved uncus anter<br />
iorly; profemora with sides nearly straight on basal half, apical half gradually<br />
clavate to apex, dorsal one-third of base feebly, ventral one-half of base roughly,<br />
rugose; metatibiae strongly dilated on apical half; protarsi dilated. Antennae<br />
about one-third longer than body, fimbriate heavily on first and third segments,<br />
slightly on fourth and fifth; seape reaehing to middle of prona.tum, feebly capitate<br />
apically, moderately punctate on basal half and very feebly rugose, finely, dcnsely<br />
punctate on apical half; third segment sinuatc, one-fift.h longer than scape;<br />
remaining segmcnts gradually shorter, eleventh with process much elongate.<br />
FEMALE. More robust; elytra feebly attenuate; antenna! tubercles very ob<br />
tusely produced; fifth sternite about one and two-thirds times length of fourth, apex<br />
emarginate and fringed, narrowly and shallowly, triangularly impressed at middle;<br />
procoxae globose, very feebly, obtusely tubercled; profemora gradually clavate,<br />
not rugose basally on dorsal or ventral surfaces, meta tibiae dilated apically;<br />
antennae as long or slightly longer than body, scape somewhat more slender,<br />
eleventh segment with feeble acces.;;ory process.<br />
LENGTH 9.5-11.95 mm.; width 4.25-5.5 mm.<br />

Related to Charoides, differing in front being narrower but<br />
similarly shaped; antennal tubercles in male bearing a longer, robust<br />
horn; elytra less attenuate, at base granulate-punctate, basal<br />
gibbosities broader and longer; antennae with. seape more robust,<br />
shorter, not attaining middle of pronotum, third segment one-fifth<br />
longer than first, eleventh segment in male with a terminal process ;<br />
meso tibiae, as well as meta tibiae, expanded in male.<br />
Small to moderate-sized, elongate-ovate, robust, convex. Head with front<br />
elongate, narrowed between, and slightly widened below, eyes; gena vertical; eye<br />
with lower lobe broadly oblong, about equal to gena in height; antennal tubercles<br />
prominent, subapproximate, in male at apex with a short, robust, obtuse horn, in<br />
female only minutely produced. Pronotum transverse, slightly wider basally than<br />
at apex, sides with a small, distinct tubercle behind middle; disk with five feebly<br />
elevated tubercles. Scutellum transverse. Elytra gradually attenuate, a.pices<br />
