distinct, ovoid tubercle anteriorly; femom comparatively slender, clavate, profemora<br />

busally all ventral surface with a few coarse rugosities; mctatibiae on apical<br />

two-thirds strongly dilated. Fifth sternite one-half longer than fourth, apex feebly<br />

emarginate. Antennae distinctly longer than body, the ninth segment attaining<br />

t.ip of eiytra, moderately fringed beneath on proximal five segments, thence with<br />

scattered setae to t1pex; scape elongate, slender, apical third moderately capitate;<br />

third segment only slightly longer than first, distinctly bisinunte.<br />

FEMALE. Less robust; e!ytrn not as attenuate; transverse prosternal process<br />

marc distinct; fifth sternite at apex rotusc, shallowly, triangularly impressed ;<br />

procOXlle with tubercle slightly less prominent; profemora not mgose basally;<br />

metatibiae not dilated 3pically ; untennac distinctly sborter th3n body.<br />

Distwhyuishable from other members of tbis group by tIle eye<br />

lmving the lower lobe slightly shorter than gena ; pl'onotal lateral<br />

tubercle broad and feebly elevated, with a short process, the discal<br />

ones elongate, the more lateral oues successively morc robust than<br />

median, basal sulcus interrupted eaeh side of middle j scutellum<br />

retuse at apex, the angles ouly feebly elevated; elytra at base more<br />

sparsely punctate, humerus fonowed by a carina to near middle<br />

(as in pulla), the anterior line of median fascia very broad, its<br />

anterior margin straight and oblique ; meso- and metafemor8<br />

broadly dark brown annulate medially.<br />

FEMALE. Elongate-ovate, rat-ber robust, convex; black, covered with fulvousgray<br />

pubescence, finely mottled with dark brown pubescence. Head above with<br />

two oblique, narrow, triangular maculne of dark brown, one each side of median<br />

line just before occiput. Pronotum blotched with dark brown at middle of disk.<br />

Scutellum distinctly margined with fulvous-gray. E1ytra on basal third deep ful­<br />

VallS pubescent, everywhere mottled with dark brown, each disk from declivity<br />

before middle with an oblique fascin of white pubescence, interrupted before suture,<br />

its posterior margin rather undul3ted, followed behind by scattered white specks,<br />

which more or less' form 3n indistinct, broken fasci3, nllrrowcd, parallel to the<br />

anterior one, before the distinct, fllsciu, !lII oblong, obliquely t-runsvcrse macula of
