Close to H. ncsiOlJe but elyt1'a with sides not vittate ; humeri<br />
more projecting, with a rounded tubercle at angle ; procoxac with<br />
n feeble, obtuse tubercle ; metafemora and metatibiae not distinctly<br />
annulate; abdomen medially da.rk bI'own pubescent ; the elytral<br />
mottling sparse and distinct, more as in H. constellata.<br />
: V[ALE. Elongale-ovate, rather robust ; fucou£, densc\y hoary or pale fulvous<br />
gray pubescent on head, pronoturn, scutellum, and basal sixth of elytra. Heat! with<br />
six short, brown vittae, one each side of middle and two less distinct ones behind<br />
each eye; front largely dark brown pubescent, slightly variegated with pale fulvous<br />
or hoary, usually bimaculate at center. Pronotum tinged with brown-fulvous<br />
mcxlially, sometimes cOIll'S(!ly moWed with dark browlI and basally finely dotted<br />
with this snme color; lnterally near baS.'l1 anglc a broad, shor vitta of white or<br />
hoory pubescence, not reaching beyond middle. Scutellum medially and clytral<br />
base tinged more or less strongly with brown-fulvous; elytra largely dark brown<br />
pubescent, sparsely sprinkled with numerous, fine, hoary dots and slightly varie<br />
gnted irregularly with the same color. Body beneath reddish-brown to fuscous,<br />
sparsely honry pubescent medially, toward sides fulvous or ashy; metasternum<br />
laterally and mctepisternum dark brown pubescent, the latter maculate at apex and<br />
at base with fulvous or ashy ; abdomen fuscous, sp3.rsely, deep brown pubescent,<br />
with single white setae scattered over entire surface, eMh side broadly vittate<br />
with ashy or fulvous; vitta· nearly wanting on first. sternite, entirely wanting on<br />
fifth. Legs fuscous; femora with posterior faces largely hoary pubescent, the<br />
anterior faces dark brown pubescent, with single scattered white hairs, bases and<br />
3.pices narrowly fulvous, 3.nd two sm3.U macul3.e toward apex of each femur, fulvous,<br />
but not fonning an annulus; tarsi d3.rk brown, uniformly covered with brown and<br />
bo3.ry variegated pubescence. Antennae dark reddish-brown, scape fuscous; densely<br />
covered with d3.rk brown pubescence; the second segment, basal two-thirds of third,<br />
and b:tSCS of following narrowly annulate with fulvous-gray; scape fulvous or<br />
£ulvous-gmy, an il'l'cgulnr basal annulus and the apex, dark brown, the latter en<br />
