fuscous or dark reddish-brown, irregularly covered with pale grayish pubeilcence,<br />
densely, finely, and rather indistinctly mottled all over with brown; abdomen simi<br />
lar, with an indistinct vitta of whitish each side, the interior edge of each vitm on<br />
basal four sternites represented by a row of whitish maculae. Legs fuscous, pale<br />
grayish pubescent, mottled with brown; tarsi willi claw segment same liS rest of<br />
tarsi. Antennae fuseous, covered with grayish pubescence, the first five or six eg<br />
ments mottled with brown, apices of all segments somewhat tinged with brown.<br />

armed at apex with a robust., obtuse tooth. Pronotum slightly transverse, about<br />
one-third wider at base than long; sides unanned, nearly straight, strongly tapering<br />
to apex; apical transverse sulcus feeble, wHow, sinuous, basal one more distinct,<br />
deeper, coalescent with the broad lateral oblique ones; disk very finely, sparsely<br />
punctate basally, entirely tumid, at middle with a feeble, elongate tubercle, each<br />
side more strongly tum.id, the- tumescence traversed by an oblique, linear impression.<br />
Scutellum strongly transverse; sidCil straight, oblique; apex arcuate. Elytra with<br />
sides broadly arcuate, slightly attenuate to apices, which are separately rounded;<br />
basal gibbosity broad, feebly elevated, nearly wanting, disk rather closely, moder<br />
ately cooTsely punctate, punctures behind middle finer, denser, before apex obsolete;<br />
humeri slightly projecting, anterior margin straight, distinctly oblique, allgle<br />
with an elongate, curved tubercle which is prolonged onto disk posteriorly into a<br />
short, fiat carina. Prosternum simple, rather wide, expanded gradually from apex<br />
to base; mesosterna! process slightly longer than wide, gradually expanded posteri<br />
orly, ape;...: moderately bilobcdly emarginate. Fifth sternite much longer than fourth,<br />
feebly emarginate at apex. Procoxae with a large, strongly curved uncus anteriorly ;<br />
femora. rather robust, clavate, posterior ones successively shorter, profemora more<br />
robust, fecbly clavate, transversely rugose on basal half of upper and lower faces;<br />
metatibiae rather expanded apiCflIlYi protarsi dilated. Antennae more than one<br />
and one-half times body length, apical segments slender, segments Olle to five with<br />
Ilo short fringe beneath; scape rather robust, nea.rly attaining middle of pronotum,<br />
slightly clavate on apical half, basal half on outer side and beneath coarsely rugose;<br />
tJurd segment one-third longer than first, distinctly sinuous; fourth equal to first,<br />
rest shorter, subequal, eleventh slightly longer, acicu1ar.<br />
