slender, elongate.<br />

FEMALE. Elongate-ovate, moderately slender, subcylindrical; piceous or rus­<br />

cous, rather thinly covered with brown or ochraceous-grny pubescence. Head<br />

largely ochraceous-gray pubescent, pubescence somewhat condensed around eye and<br />

along sides of front to form more or less distinct marginal lines. Pronotum brown<br />

pubescent, with five poorly defined vittae of ochraceous-groy (somewhat variegated<br />

in places with reddish). two broader ones each side more distinct basally, and a finer<br />

one at middle confined to npical half. Scutellum mostly brown, margined at sides<br />

of base with hoary gray pubescence. Elytra brown pubescent, Rnd with scattered,<br />

irregular m:lcuiae of hoary-gray and rosy-gray; two short streaks on base of each<br />

ely trOll and a line on humerus of same color, at middle a subtriallgular fascia of<br />

rosy-grny, the anterior mnrgin of which is very irreguiar, interrupted, and poorly<br />

defined, the posterior margin sharply defined, straight, extending obliquely from<br />

near suture before middle to sides at apical one-third, broadly outlined behind by<br />

darker brown pubescence, which is free of maculae, near apex a broad forked line<br />

of rOlly-gray. Body beneath and legs fuscous, abdomen a litlle paler, entirely cov­<br />

ered 'with 3- dull, pale rosy-gray pubescence; tarsal cltiw neither annubt.e nor paler<br />

basally. Antenntle fuscous, covered with pale grayish pubescence, several segments,<br />

notably the third, fourth, and fifth, indistinctly browner apically.<br />

Head finely, granularly aluUtecous, with a median line from occiput to epistorna ;<br />

front broadly concave between nntennal tuberclcs, minutely, ruther densely pune­<br />

tate, with a number of larger ptillctures scattered irregularly over the surface, dis­<br />

tinctly wider between eyes than at epistorna; genae vertical, minntely alutaccous;<br />

eye with lower lobe oblong-ovate, narrower below, its height exceeding th.'lt of gena<br />

by ollc-third; antennal tubercles prominent, robust, unarmed, widely separated.<br />

Pronotwn strongly transverse, distinctly narrowed anteriorly; Interal tu­<br />

bercle small, feebly elevated, armed with a very short conical spine; sides before<br />

middle distinctly tumid; apical and basal transverse sulci brood and di:tinct, the<br />

lattcr coale:;cent with the lateral oblique ones; disk minutely alut!lceous, a few small<br />

punctures at middlc of basc, wtb It triangular median tubercle, esch side of which<br />

is 9. broad transverse tumid aras, which is travered from side to side by a distinct<br />

impressed line, deeper medislly. Scutellum very trsnsverse, marc than twice as<br />

wide as long; sides strongly oblique, rounded; apex broadly arcuate. Elytm 'with<br />

sides widcned slightly behind middle, then broadly arcuate to apices, which are<br />

sepamtely rounded; disk at base with !l broad fcoble gibbosity, rather coarsely,<br />

dcnsely punctate almost from nnterior margin, beyond middle punctures gradually<br />

finer and shallower, but distinctly attaining apex; humeri prominent, the anterior<br />

margin straight, strongly oblique, the angle with a !illlall but distinct tubercle. Pro­<br />

sternum much widened behind middle. Procoxae before with a small tubercle;<br />

femora clavate, the profemora more robust. Fifth sternite twice length of fourth;<br />

apex rctuse, a broad, shallow, triangular impress ion mcdially. Antennae about one­<br />

fourth again as long ItS body, finely and sparsely fimbriate beneath ; scape rather<br />

slender, clavate from bassi third ; third segment twice length of first, feebly bisinu­<br />

ose, rest gradually sborter; eleventh tufted at tip.<br />

LENGTH 14 mm.; width 5 mm.
