l\hLE. Elongate-ovate, robust, whcylindrical, elytra subconvex; picC()us, clytra<br />
dark brown; head, pronotull, scutellum, and basal fifth of elytm fulvous pubecent.<br />
Head, pronotum, and remainder of elytra with grayish-brown pubescence as follows:<br />
head with four indistinct vittae, one either side of middle from occiput to between<br />
antennal tubercles, widest basally and converging at vertex, one behind lower lobe<br />
(nearly at vertex) ; front somewhat variegated with white and fulvous; pronotum<br />
with nn indistinct viUa either side of middle, widest at base :md converging apically ;<br />
scutellum with a broad vitta medially ; apical four-fifths of olytra slightly variegated<br />
with white pubesccncc. Beneath fuscous, sterna laterally broadly, densely, fulvons<br />
pubescent; metepisterna nearly entirely grayish-brown, sterna medially gray;<br />
abdomen broadly fulvous vittate laterally, on fifth sternite vitta much reduced,<br />
medially all sternites gray, with grayish-brown pubecence interspersed. Legs<br />
piceous or dark reddish-brown ; {emom with sides and dorsnl surface grayish<br />
brown pubescent, .... entral surface gray touched with fulvous; apically, medially, and<br />
basally tibiae grayish-brown pubescent, banded indistinctly at middle with gray;<br />
tarsi clothed wit.h gray, claw segment piceous, sparsely gray pubescent. Antennae<br />
with scape piceous, fulvous pubescent, just before apex with a grayish-brown<br />
macula; remaining segments dark reddish-brown, from fourth segment basal thirds<br />
paler reddish-brown and there gray pubescent, remainder of segments grayish<br />
brown; third segment with basill half f\llvOllS pubescent, remaining half grayish<br />
brown.<br />
Head above minutely alutaeeou, with a median impreS3cd line from occiput<br />
to near epistoma ; front elongate, narrowed between eyes, disk minutely alutaceous,<br />
all over with close-set, coarse, very shallow punctures ; genac elongate, pubescent,<br />
very finely, densely punctate, with coarse, scattered punctures ; eye with lower<br />
lobe oblong, feebly ovate, nearly equal in size to genae; antennal tubercles promi<br />
nent, well separated, vcry obtusely produced. Pronotulll transverse, base about<br />
one-third wider than apex; sides straight; basal and npical sulcus shallow, basal<br />
one oblique at sictes ; disk with five tubercles, median onc elongate, more baal,<br />
two either side of median, more apical, inncr one elongate, outer one more pointed.<br />
Scutellum very transverse; sides brolldly arcuate, npex broadly rounded, feebly<br />
notched at middle. Elytra with sides nearly st.r:light, feebly attenuate to apices<br />
wmch are each rounded ; extreme base smoot.h, at middle each elytron with two<br />
rows (internal one near scutellum) of punctate granules, with several granules in<br />
each row, the outer row continue« onto an arcuate gibbosit.y, which is rather<br />
broad and moderately elevated, surface of basal fourth (after smoot.h portion)<br />
sparsely granUlate-punctate, t.hence coarsely, spar.3ely punctate to middle, mut:h<br />
more finely nnd obsoletely so apically; humeri prominent, anterior margin feebly<br />
arcuate, angle only obtusely rounded, not tubercled, a short, very feeble carina<br />
extending posteriorly from angle. Prosternum slightly widened medially betwecn<br />
procoxae; mesosternal process deeply emarginate :It apex; fifth sternite two times<br />
length of fourth, at apex sub truncate, heavily fringed entire width find broadly<br />
