"Elongate, black; above fulvous irroratc. Head covered with sparse, black<br />

puncture;;, two fulvous lines before eycs; antennae brown, pilose, segments four to<br />

eleven gray at base. Prot.bor:lx covered with sparse, black punctures. Elytra tri­<br />

angular, more than four times length of prothorax; fulvous irrornte, deeply black­<br />

punctate; apices rounded. Beneath fulvous maculate; legs fulvous tomcntose.<br />

Length 13-19 rom.; width 4--G mm. Brazil."<br />

The above is a translation of the original description.<br />

This may prove to be identical with Ischiocentra tnultinotata<br />

Melzer.<br />

Apamauta pubescens Thomson, 'Pbysis, II, 1868, p. 59.<br />

"Elongate, rufous, covered everywhere with gray pubesccnce; immaculate. Head<br />

brown pubescent; antennae testaceous, gray pubescent. Prothorax cylindrical, U11-<br />

armed. Elytra triangular, slightly depressed, coarsely punctate, apices rounded.<br />

Body beneath and legs gray pubescent. Length 18 mm.; width 7 mm. Brazil."<br />

BETA Dillon and Dillon, gen. nov.<br />

Somewbat related to 11fidamus in the broad front, small eyes,<br />

short genae and cylindrieal pronotum ; distinct in having tbe eyes<br />

broader, more oblong; antennal tubercles more prominent; pronotum<br />

transvere, sides not excavated, distinctly tuberculate, disk<br />

with two tubercles ; elytra more tapering, apices acute, base punctate,<br />

humeri more elevated; metatibiae subequal in length to metafemora.<br />

Moderate-sized, elongate-ovate, robust. Head with front transverse, feebly<br />

narrowed below eye, deely excavated between antennal tubercles; gena elongate;
