ments dark reddish-brown; scape dark brown pubescent, vnried with a small<br />
nmount of ashy pubescence, an indistinct macula of ochraccotls at apex, remaining<br />
segments beneath more or less ashy. above dark brown pubescent, very indistinctly<br />
and narrowly annulate with asby pubescence at base.<br />
Head above minutely aiutaceous, median impressed line from occiput to near<br />
epistoma; front narrowed noticeably below eyes, surface minutely alutaceous with<br />
moderately spaced, coarse, deep punctures; genae vertical, slightly wider at lower<br />
portion, feebly pubescent, surface minutely alutaceous; eye with lower lobe ovate<br />
subequal to gena in height; antennal tubercles dist.ant, witb short, robust, blunt<br />
processes internally which arc directed forward and slightly inward. Pronoturn<br />
very transverse; base only slightly wider than apex; sides feebly arcuate; a basal<br />
nnd apical sulcus, basal one with a subfoveate depression each side and thence ob<br />
liquely over lateral tuberclcs ; disk medially with an elongate, moderately elevated<br />
tubercle reaching little beyond middle, either side with a large, rounded tumid area;<br />
btersl tubereles feeble, with a moderate, robust process curved feebly posteriorly,<br />
slightly anterior to these a small, feebly elevated tumid area. Se,ltellum transverse;<br />
sides feebly arcuate; apex broadly rounded, slightly llotehed medially. Elytrn<br />
nearly parallel to behind middle, thence moderately rounded to apices, which :ue<br />
separ.ttely rounded; each elytron at middle of base with a subtmnid area, entire<br />
base with close set, very coarse, rounded punctufC3, behind middle there becoming<br />
finer nnd less dense; humeri feebly prominent, nnterior margin arcuate, angle With a<br />
large rounded tubercle. Prosternum broadly dilated behind middle; mesosternal<br />
process angulate and only feebly emnrginate medially; fifth stcrnite about one-half<br />
ngnin as long as fourth, emarginate apically. Procoxao promincnt; internally with<br />
n. broad, well elevatcd, obtuse tubercle; profemora with sides nearly parallel on<br />
basal two-thirds, then abnlptly clavate, coarsely transversely rugose on basal two<br />
thirds, thence to apex densely punctate; other femom gradually clavate. Antennne<br />
about one and one-half times body length; scape nearly attaining middle of prono<br />
tum, robust, abruptJy clavate behind middle, at base with two deep grooves inter<br />
nally and externally; remainder of surface finely, densely punctate; third segment<br />
slender, somewhat thickened basally, feebly sinuate, twice length of scape; fimbriate<br />
on first, third, !lnd fourth, and slightly on fifth segments.<br />
FEMALE. Slightly more robust; feebly wider between antennal tubercles, tu<br />
bercles only very feebly produced internally ; fift.h sternite at apex more deeply<br />
emarginate and with a feeble triangular impression apically; profemora gradually<br />
clavate, only very feebly rugose on basal quarter; procox!lC with a feeble, obtuse<br />
tubercle; antennae little longer than body, scape less robust and not or only very<br />
foobly grooved basally; tho ashy annulations at base of segments slightly wider<br />
than in male.<br />
