TRUNCATOIDES Dillon and Dillon, gen. nov.<br />

Distinguished from Lesbates in having front elongate, very<br />

feebly widened below eye; eye with lower lobe ovate, moderate­<br />

sized, subequal to gena in height j antennal tubercles more approxi­<br />

mate ; pronotal disk differently sculptured ; elytra very sparsely<br />

punctate; antennae with scape elongate, nearly reaching middle of<br />

pl'onorum, slender on basal hali, capitate and heavily fringed on<br />

apical half, thiJ:d segment more strongly sinuous, only slightly<br />

longer than first ; procoxae with a small, distinct tubercle in male.<br />

Moderate-sized, elongate-ovate, robust. Head with front elongate, very feebly<br />

widened below eye; genae elongate, vertical; eye with lower lobe ovate, moderatesized,<br />

subcqual to gena in height; antenna.l tubercles subcontiguous, very feebly<br />

and obtusely produced at apex in both sexes. Pronotum transverse, more or less<br />

conical ; sides unarmed; disk with three tubercles. Scutellum transverse. Elytra<br />

with sides moderately attellUate to apices; apices separately rounded; basal<br />

gibbosities elongate, narrow, moderately elevated; disk on basal third very sparsely,<br />

coarsely punctate; humeri strongly projecting, with a well elevated crest, which<br />

is broadly carinate on apex. Prosternum simple, wide, broadened posteriorly;<br />

mesosternal process short, sides feebly emarginate, deeply bilobedly emarginate<br />

apically. Legs moderately short; procoxae globose, with a small tubercle in male;<br />

femora distinctly clavate apically, subcompressed; meso- and metatibia.e in male<br />

dilated, metatibiae in female alro slightly expanded apically; protarsi dil ated<br />

in both sexes. Antennae one and one-third times length of body in nulle, as long<br />

as body in female; scape nearly reaching middle of pronotum, strongly capitate<br />

on apical half; third segment moderAtely bisiOlUlte, about one-fifth longer than<br />

first; from fourth gradually shorter, eleventh slightly longer than tenth nnd shortly<br />

processed at apex in male.<br />
