fulvous is extended interruptedly nearly across the segments. Legs dark reddish­<br />

brown to fuscoue, sparsely fulvous pubescent; femora mottled wit.h dark browTJ, pro­<br />

femora. hoary pubescent posteriorly; tibiae apically dark brown setose, meso- and<br />

metatibiae broadly fulvous-Sllllulate at middle; tarsi with claw segment on apical<br />

ono-third or two-fifths piceolls, basal portion pale reddish-brown. Antennae fuscous,<br />

basal half of third, two-fifths of fourtb, and one-third of remaining segments pale<br />

yellow unnulate; scape fulvous pubescent, mottled with brown, its apical third and<br />

apical portion of following segments covered with dark brown pubescence; the<br />

pale basal parts of all segments with light yellowish-gray pubescence; eleventh<br />

at apex tufted with golden hairs.<br />

Head minutely, densely punctate, with a median impressed line from occiput<br />

almost to epistoma; front feebly concave between antennal tubercles, finely,<br />

densely punctate, without any distinct coarser punctures or irnpre35iollS j genae<br />

vertical, entirely pubeacent, finely, densely punctate; eye with lower lobe oblong,<br />

one and one-fourth times the height of the gena ; antennal tubercles slightly promi­<br />

nent, well separated, not armed at apex. Pranotum transverse; sides nearly<br />

straight, )]nrfowed strongly to apex, unarmed; apical transverse sulcus narrowl y<br />

interrupted at mi ddle, the basal aile more distinct, coalescent with the lateral<br />

obliques ones; disk with the mediaD line elevated, widened triangularly on basal<br />

half, each side with a large, rounded t1llllid :uea, traversed by a faint oblique sulcw,<br />

b:tsally with a sinuous line of small, but distinct, punctures. Scutellum transverse;<br />

sides straight, strongly tapering; apex broadly rounded, narrowly emarginate and<br />

impressed at middle, the lateral lobes slightly elevated. Elytra with sides straight<br />

behind humeri, from apical third broadly arcuate, apices separately rounded; disk<br />

basally slightly gibbose, entire basal half irregularly covered with dense, moderate­<br />

size punctures, behind middle puncture.3 much finer to apex; humeri promi­<br />

nent, anterior margin straight, distinctly but not strongly oblique, the angle<br />

with a feebly elcvated, rounded tubercle; sides punctate as disk but coarse punc­<br />

tures extending marc posteriorly. Prosternum simple. Procoxae tumid posteriorly,<br />

anteriorly with 11. feeble, broad, obtuse tubercle; femora clava·te, rather slen­<br />

der, profemora not all rugose; metatihiac unmodified. Fifth sternite half again<br />

as long as fourth, its apex retuse, with a median impressed line and apical two­<br />

thirds broadly, triangularly impres.. .«ed. Antennae a little shorter than body, fim­<br />

briate beneath with long hairs on apical half of scape to fifth segment and on<br />

apices of several following segments; scape slender, elongate, slightly clavate on<br />

apical hnlf, not rugose on base; third segment longer than first, strongly bisinuate;<br />

fourth shorter, arcuate; rest gradually decreasing in length.<br />
