tubercles robust, prominent, slightly separated, anned at apex with a robust, acute<br />

tooth. Pronotum strongly transverse; sides nearly straight, distinctly tnpering to<br />

apex, feebly tuberculate behind middle; apical transverse sulcus sinuous, shallow,<br />

baSilI one more distinct, straight, coalescent with the lateral oblique ones ; disk<br />

with five distinct tubercles, median one less strongly elevated, subbasal, rest<br />

slightly elonga.te, arranged in a curved line anteriorly, the members of e.'l.ch pair<br />

more or less connected by a. tumid area between them. Scutellum transverse;<br />

sides straight, oblique; apex broadly arcuate or subtruncate, Eometimes finely<br />

notched and slightly depressed medially. Elytra strongly attenuate to apiees,<br />

which are separately, broadly rounded; basal gibbosity prominent, elongate,<br />

narrow, studded along its apex with a row of large granules, rest of disk at base<br />

ratber coarsely, sparsely punctate, a few punctures, especially near scutellum, bear­<br />

ing fine granules, behind middle finely punctate, thence smooth to apex; humeri<br />

very prominent, anterior margin broadly arcuate, oblique, angle with a large,<br />

sligbtly projecting tubercle, prolonged posteriorly as a short, indistinct carina.<br />

Prosternum unarmed, transversely concave, moderately brond, slightly expanded<br />

posteriorly; mesosternai process broad, slightly transverse, deeply emarginatc at<br />

apex; fifth sternite one-half longer than fourth, apex broadly emarginate. Pro­<br />

coxae distinctly tumid posteriorly, anteriorly with small, robust tubercle; femora<br />

rather slender, feebly clavate, profemora robust, enlarged apically, finely rugose<br />

basally on upper nnd lower faces; metatibine strongly dilated before npex. Antennae<br />

slightly longer than body, ninth mcnt attaining elytral apex, the four proximal<br />

segments fimbriate beneath; .'leape short, reaching apical third of pronotum, ratber<br />

robust, strongly and gradually eJavate from base, the entire basal half coarsely<br />

rugose; third segment one-fourth longer tban senpe, distinctly sinuous, a fourth<br />

about as long as first, rest gradually shorter.<br />
