Moderate in size, elongate-ovate, robust. Hoad with front broad, slightly<br />
elongate, no little narrowed below eyes ; gena elongate, widened below; eye with<br />
lower lobe oblong-ovate, two-thirds as long as gena; antennal tubercles well separ<br />
ated, prominent, robust, unarmed in male. Pronotum strongly transverse, at apex<br />
much narrower than at base, sides straight, unanned ; disk entirely tumid, not<br />
distinctly iuberculate. Scutellum transverse. Elytra with sides nearly straight,<br />
distinctly attenuate apically, apices separately rounded ; disk with a slightly ele<br />
vnted, broad gibbosity, surfacc simply punctate on basal half ; humeri projecting,<br />
anterior margin straight, slightly oblique, angle with a large tubercle which is<br />
continued, erestlike, by an elevated carina, which C} .. 1:ends to basal quarter.<br />
Prosternum simple, gradually wider postoriorly; mesosternal procc::s broad, slightly<br />
·widened to apox, which is cmarginate. Legs moderately long; procoxae globose,<br />
strongly \lncate in male; femora moderately robust, gradually and distinctly clavate<br />
from apical quarter, profemora nearly cylindrical in male; meso- and metatibiae<br />
swollen apically in malc. Antennae one and one-third times body length in male;<br />
scape robust, strongly clavate on apical half, attaining middle of pronotumj third<br />
segment very feebly bisinuate, nbout one and one-half times as long as scape, rest<br />
gradually shorter; eleventh slightly longer than tenth, and with a termin.."l.l process<br />

?I"IALE. Elongate-ovate, robust, elytra convex; dark reddish-brown, densely<br />
covered with brown, light fu!vous, and white pubescence. lIend largely light fulvous<br />
pubescent, mottled with dark brown, white maculate on center of front, on genae,<br />
and along occiput laterally. Pronotum dark browll, variegated with pale fulvoDs<br />
anteriorly, medially, and broadly along base, above hind angle a broad, short,<br />
fulvous vitta, anterior angles maculate irregularly with white. Scutellum brown,<br />
margined nnrrowly at apex with white, gradually very broadly so basally. Elytra<br />
brown pubescent, with a white, very broken fascia at middle extending obliquely<br />
from lateral margin nearly to suture, its posterior and anterior margins strongly<br />
dentate; mncuinte with white, sparsely around scutellum, along suture, and on<br />
gibbosities, very strongly so on entire apical hnlf, where the maculne are often<br />
vermiculate and reticulate. Body beneath dark reddish-brown, entirely but irregu<br />
Inrly covered with hoary-gray pubesccnce, indistinctly mottled with brown on<br />
metasternum, mesosternal sidepieces indistinctly maculate with pale fulvous;<br />
abdomen a little more densely hoary pubesccnt laterally but not vittate, fifth<br />
sternite with a triangular, apical, brown macula. Legs dark reddish-brown, thinly<br />
hoary pubescent, indistinctly mottled with brown, tinged above with fulvou.s; tarsal<br />
claw segment pale reddish all basal half, entirely hoary pubescent except on apex<br />
where it is tinged with brown. Antennae with first two segments and apices of<br />
others fuscous, from third segment basal three-fifths of each pale reddish ; pale
