Resembles in elytral maculation the saga gl'OUp of Oncideres<br />
but the body structure is entirely distinct.<br />
l"fALE. Elongate-ovate, moderately robust, subcylindrical; head, most of pro<br />
notum, and humeri black, elytra and apex of pronotum dark reddish-brown. Head<br />
orange-ochraccous pubescent; eye posteriorly and front cach side margined with<br />
denser pubescence. Pronotum thinly hoary pubescent, a broad band of orange<br />
ochraceous covering entire middle portion. Scutellum hoary pubescent, tinged with<br />
orange-ochraceous. Elytra densely orange-ochraceous, more sparsely so at base, uni<br />
formly whitc ndsperse, the maculae a little denser at middle, giving a suggestion of<br />
a fascia. Dody beneath dark reddish-brown, hoary-gray pubescent, metasternum<br />
laterally slightly variegated with orangc-oehracecus ; esostemal side-pieces and<br />
metepisterna maculate with orange-ochraceous; abdomcn iuscous, densely covered<br />
with hoary and orange-ochraceous variegated pubescence, sternites one to four with<br />
their apices glabrous in the form of elongate lunules, highly polished and conspicu<br />
ous. Legs black, hoary pubescent, tinged with orange-ochraceous; tarsi entirely<br />
hoary pubescent. Antennae black, thinly hoary-gray pube:cent; from before middle<br />
of fourth segment reddish-brown, more densely covered with short, ofiUlge-ochra<br />
ceaus pubescence.<br />
Head minutely, demely punctate, a median impressed line from occiput nearly<br />
to epistoma; front somewhat longer than broad, sides parallel, distinctly concave<br />
between antennal tubercles, minutely, den::;e1y punctate, with a few coarser punc<br />
tures interspersed, especially toward mouth; genae suhquadrate, minutely, densely<br />
.'l.lutaceous and irregularly punctate; eye with lower lobe oblong, large, more than<br />
one and one-half times height of gena; antennal tubercles prominent, robust, well<br />
separated, at apex with a distinct, obtuse tooth. Pronotum strongly trnnsverse,<br />
one-half wider than long; sides uneven, arcuate, slightly narrower at very apex<br />
than at base; lateral tubercle nearly wanting, feebly elevated, obtuse, without a<br />
terminal process; apical transverse sulcus distinct, sinuous, basal one rather deep<br />
medially, gradually obsolete toward sidcs, lateral oblique ones confused with discal<br />
sculpturing; disk impunctate or nearly so, entirely covered with five to eight trans<br />
verse nlgosities or carinae, the basal and apical ones deeply sinuate, median ones<br />
more nearly straight, all entire. Scutellum nearly as long as wide; sides straight,<br />
feebly oblique; apex slightly notched at middle. Elytra with sides slightly widened<br />
to behind middle, apices slightly dehiscent, together rounded, slightly prolongcd near<br />
suture; ba£e without distinct gibbosity, moderately densely, finely granulate-punc<br />
tate to basal quarter, thence simply, finely punctate to apices ; humeri slightly prom<br />
inent, glabrous, anterior margin rounded, tubercle at angle lacking. Prosternum<br />
simple, narrow, slightly wider basally; mesosternum with process elongate, sides<br />
nearly parallel, apex feebly emarginate, on apical half with an elongate, low, but<br />
distinct tubercle. Procoxae anteriorly with a strongly curvcd, robust uncus; fcmora<br />
robust, clavate, metafemora more slender, profemora nearly cylindrical, constricted<br />
at buse, on basal two-thirds coarsely, irregularly rugose, on anterior face more<br />
feebly so; tarsal claw segment dist.inctly shorter than rest together. Fifth sternite
