puncture. Body beneath entirely covered with dellsc, paJe fulvous-gray to brown<br />
pubescence; metcpisterna often with a pale macula on the external basal angle. Legs<br />
and antennae fusoons to black; pubescence similar to that of body.<br />
Head with a median impressed line from occiput extending nearly to epistorna;<br />
front minutely punctate, concave between the antennal tubercles; genae vertical,<br />
minutely punctate ; eye with lower lobe oblong, subequaJ in beight to gena ; antennal<br />
tubercles feeble, appro).imate, unarmed at apex. PrQnotum slightly transverse,<br />
base wider than apex, sides feebly curved, unnrmed; with an apical and a basal<br />
transverse sulcus; disk at middle with a longitudinal carina from ixlsal sulcus to<br />
apical sulcus, either side of which behind apical sulcus is a very small tubercle<br />
ncar base, on each side an oblique sulcus, extending beneath lateral margin. Scutellum<br />
transverse, sides nearly straight, feebly oblique, npex very broadly rounded.<br />
Elytra. with sides strongly tapering posteriorly, apices separately rounded; disk<br />
at middle of each base with lin arcuate, strongly clevated crest, ruulling for nearly<br />
a third of the length of the elytron, in its apex set with a single row of distinct,<br />
shining grnnules, rest of surface of disk with small, distinct, scattered punctures;<br />
humeri variable in their degree of prominence, always somewhat so, anterior margin<br />
straight, strongly oblique, the nngle with a lnrge tubercle. Prosternum nrcuate1y<br />
widened medially between the coxae. Procoxae tumid and with a fold posteriorly,<br />
anteriorly feebly tuberculatc; mesocoxae with It short, distinct, obtuse tubercle<br />
anteriorly; femora robust, feebly clavate, profemora strongly, transversely rugose<br />
above and below; metatibiae much swollen on apical two-thirds, internally with an<br />
elongale-oval, glabrous patch, extending the length of the swollen portion; protarsi<br />
strong dilated, mesotarsi slightly 80. Fifth stemite one-third longer than fourth,<br />
apex emarginate. Antennae about as long as, or a little shorter than, body,<br />
fringed, beneath from first to fourth segments; scapc elongate, slender, gradually<br />
clavate; third subcqual to first in length, feebly bisinuate; fourth only one-half<br />
as long as third, rest gradually shorter.<br />
FEMALE. A little more robust; eye with lower lobe distinctly shorter than<br />
gena; antenll31 tubercles slightly more feeble; femora more slender, profemora not<br />
rugose; metatibae not enlarged, without a glabrous area; fifth sternite about<br />
twice as long as fourth, apex rounded, with Ii feeble triangular impression; antennae<br />
about two-thirds length of body, a little less robust t.hll.n male, otherwise similar,<br />
third slightly shorter than seape.<br />
LENGTH 18·28 mm.; width 7.5-12.5 rum.<br />
