ovate, not quite equal to height of gena j antennal tubereles feebly prominent,<br />
robust, apex with an inconspicuous, obtuse tooth. Pronotum strongly trallsverse;<br />
sides nearly straight, grudually tapering to apex, unarmed; apical and basal<br />
transverse sulci deep but narrow, the latter broadly arcuate, coalescent with the<br />
broader, lateral, oblique sulci ; disk finely, very sparsely punctate near middle<br />
of basal half, median line distinctly elevated, usually only on hasal half, each<br />
side broadly tumid, tumescence trnversed by an oblique impressed line which<br />
divides each inlo two distinct tubercles. Scutellum transverse; sides oblique ; apex<br />
broadly arcuate, slightly notched at middle. Elytra. with sides nearly stmight,<br />
distinctly tapering to apices, each of which is rather narrowly rounded ; baal<br />
gibbosity strongly elevated, elongatc, nnrrow, fltudr.led with single or double<br />
row of coarse granules which attains anterior IIUlrgin of clyron, disk between<br />
gibbosity and suture with at least one irre!,'1.ilar row (usually scattered ones or<br />
another series) of finer granules or grnnuiate--punct.ures which gradually become<br />
fine punctures before passing posterior portion of gibbosity, beLween this and<br />
hwncrus finely and sparsely punctll, with a few fine granules, punctures fine<br />
after basal two-fifths; each disk wit.h about four costae, more distinct Oll apicnl<br />
portion; humeri strongly prominent, anterior margin feebly arcuate, slightly<br />
oblique, angle obtuse, with a feebly elevated, rounded tubercle, tbis continues as<br />
a short, shining carina which is directed posteriorly (but slightly diagonally so)<br />
and is shorter than, or equal to, the anterior margin of humerus in length j sides<br />
fincly and rather densely puncbte. Prosternum simple. Proeoxae slightly tumid<br />
posteriorly, anteriorly with a distinct, stout uncus; profcmor:t robust, sub<br />
cylindrical, slightly narrowed dist.I!lly and b:lsally, rather finely rllose beneath,<br />
mcsofcmora strongly clavate, met.:l.fcmora more slender tlnd feebly clavate; meta<br />
tibiae gradually, but not greatly, expanded apieally. Fifth sternite half again<br />
as long as fourth, apex broadly relure. Antennae with eighth segment att.aining<br />
elytrnl apex, finely fimbriate benenth on five proximal segments, rcst very sparsely<br />
so; scnpe rather robust, st.rongly clavate beyond middle, basal half (except above)<br />
coarsely rugose; third segment distincUy longer th .. m first, moderately bisinuate;<br />
next two gradually shorter, rest· subcqual; eleventh with a CllTved process at apex.<br />
FEMALE. More robust in body form; antenna! tubercles more feebly elevated,<br />
"ery shortly armed; procoxae broadly and feebly tuberculate anteriorly; profemora.<br />
similar to mesofemor:l, not rugo:;;e beneath j metatibiae ulUllodified; fifth sternite<br />
about twice length of fourth, apex broadly reunded, with a median impressed line<br />
and nenr apex :\ 1!emicircuiar, broad impression, the surfacc of which is finely and<br />
densely punctate; antennae about as long as body, scape less robust, smooth, Dot<br />
rugose, segments gradually shorter from third.<br />
