epistorna, strongly concave between antennal tubercles, minutely, densely alutaceous<br />
and wit.h a row of modcrateized punctures each side and at middle; genae elongate,<br />
vertical, mi nutely, densely alut-aceous, sometimes with a few punctures medially;<br />
eye with lower lobe variable, elongate-ovate or oblong, rarely equalling gena. in<br />
height, usually distinctly shorter; antennal tubercles robust, rather prominent, at<br />
apex armed with a long, robust, subacute tooth which is curved laterally. Franotum<br />
transverse, about one and one-third times as wide as long, sides feebly arcuate, nar<br />
rowed anteriorly, unarmed, or with a very feeble protuberance each side behind<br />
middle; apical transverse sulcus obsolete, or distinct towards sides, basal one ir<br />
regular, nearly straight, usually well impressed, coalescent with lateral oblique ones;<br />
disk with median tubercle elongate, oval, or subtriangular, variable in its promi<br />
nence, each side subglobosely tumid, each tumescence more or less bituberculate.<br />
Scutellum transverse, sides oblique, straight, apex arcuate. Elytra gradually taper<br />
ing to apices, which are separately rounded; basal gibbosity rather feeble, oblique,<br />
followed posteriorly by a broad, distinct, oblique impression, disk at base with rather<br />
sparse, moderate-sized puncturcs, which are finer on apical half, attaining apex;<br />
humeri somewhat projecting, anterior margin more or less arcuate, oblique, angle<br />
wih a moderate-sized, obtuse tubercle. Prosternum simple, arrow, gradually<br />
widened to base; mesosterna.! process broad, slightly longer than wide, its apex<br />
arcuate, not notched medially. Procoxae globose, anteriorly with conical uncus, on<br />
small specimens only feebly hooked; femora robust, clavate, profemora finely,<br />
tr;lllsversely rugose on base of posterior face. Fifth sternite one and one-quarter<br />
times the length of fourth, apex distinctly emarginate. Antennae one-fourth to<br />
one-third longer than body, eighth or ninth segment attaining elytral apex, finely<br />
fimbriate beneath on proximal four segments, very sparsely so thence to apex;<br />
seape attaining middle of pronotum, gradually clavate from base to apcx, finely<br />
punctate, not at all rugose; third segment one and one-half times length of first,<br />
distinctly sinuous, feebly and gradually widened apically; fourth slightly longer<br />
·than first, fifth and foHowing slightly shorter than scape ; eleventh slightly arcuate,<br />
apically attenuate.<br />
FEMALE. More robust than male; antennal tubercles feeble, unarmed or with<br />
a short tooth at apex; proeoxae not uncate, with a broad, indistinct tubercle an<br />
teriorly; profemora not rugose; fifth sternite onc-half longer than fourth, apex bi<br />
lobedly emarginate, broadly, subtriangularly impressed at middle toward base; an<br />
tennae about as long as body, seape rather slender, clavate from before middle,<br />
segments from fourth gradually shortened.<br />
