Superficially resembles O. fulvofasciMa but differs from it entirely<br />
in structure. In tIle present form, the prosternum is processed,<br />
the humeri strongly projecting, and the eye slightly larger.<br />
Moreover, the sculpturing of the pronotal disk 1S completely different,<br />
the tubercles more elevated and distinct ; and humeral tubercles<br />
smaller.<br />
FEliALE. Elong:l.te, robust, convex; dark reddish-brown to fuscous, rathcr<br />
thinly covered with brownish-gray pubescencc, not at all moWed. Head on front<br />
indistinctly m(l.culate at middle each side of median line with hoary pubescence;<br />
eye very feebly margined with s:lIne color. Pronotum above hind angles and all<br />
anterior OIlCii maculate with brighter fulvous pubescence, the former ones indi.;.<br />
tinct, the latter distinct. Scutellum brown, narrowly margined with fulvous.<br />
Elytra with II triangular median fascia of pale fulvous-gr."lY, extending abov!:<br />
declivity frolU basal third to apical third, its apex almost attaining suture, its inno!'<br />
portion morc brownish; apical portion of disk streaked and indistinctly maculat.e<br />
with fulvous-gray pubescence. Body beneath fuscous, thinly hoary puhcscent,<br />
toward sides brownish; abdomen piceous medially, covered with short, dark brown<br />
pubescence and with hoary hairs interspersed, more or less densely so in some<br />
places, laterally broadly vittate with fulvous-gray, vitt:!. attenuate on first ster<br />
nite. Legs fuscous, thinly variegated with hO:lry, fulvous, and dark brown pub<br />
escence; tibiae, except protibiae, indistinctly :lnd broadly annulate with hoary<br />
pubescence lit middle; tarsal claw segment deep red on basal half, apically black or<br />
piceous. Antennae (only two segments and basal quarter of third prescnt) piceous;<br />
scnpe sparsely brown pubescent, rest thinly covered with hoary pubescence.<br />
He3d minutely, densely punctnte, with a median impressed line from occiput<br />
nearly to epistoma; front narrow and concave between antennal tubercles, minutely<br />
punctate and nlutaceous, with a few coarse punctures at sides and below, above<br />
middle each side obliquely imprCS5ed ; gcnae slightly vertical, sparsely but roughly<br />
punctntej eye with lower lobe oblong-ovate, subequal in height to gena ; antennal<br />
tubercles slightly prominent, minutely produced nt npex-. PrOllolum strongly trans<br />
verse; sides straight, oblique, unarmed; basal and apical transverse sulcus 8hlll<br />
