"Elongate, brown, covered with gray pubescence. Head with some sparse<br />

punctures; antennal segments from third pale, apices brown; horn black. Pro­<br />

thorax pubescent, Illmost impunctate. Elytra elongate, base strongly, then smoothly<br />

and sparsely punctate, with six vague fuscous maculae, arranged in three series;<br />

apices rounded. Abdomen and legs pubescent. Length 10-12 mm.; width 4-4.5 mm.<br />

Distinguished by its small size; the immaculate upper surface;<br />

fifth sternite largely ochraceous j and male with antennae not very<br />

elongate.<br />

MALE. Elongate-ovate, moderately robust, subcylindrical; eJytra subconvex;<br />

head and pronotum fuseous, elytra dark reddish-brown; entirely fulvous-gray pub­<br />

escent. He3.d with a short, brown vitta either side of middle, reaching only to ver­<br />

tex; sides of bead and pronotum broadly brown laterally, and extreme basCl of<br />

elytrn with the pubescence much condensed and alightly paler. Scutellum with a<br />

narrow, whitish vitta medially. Beneath dark reddish-brown, fulvous-gray pubes­<br />

cent, mesosternal side-pieces, metasternum, and metepisterna slightly brownish ;<br />

sternites except fifth at extreme lateral edge with a small, irregular, whitish macula,<br />

fifth broadly whiw each side for iUi entire length. Legs dark reddish-brown, flll­<br />

vous-gray pubescent; tarsi pale. Antennae reddish-brown, basal quarter of fourth<br />

seglllent and basal halves of succeeding segments very pale, entirely covered with<br />

pale fulvous-gray pubescence.<br />

Head above minutely a!utaceous, with :l median impressed line from occiput<br />

to near episterna on front; front feebly elongate, slightly wider above, surface finely<br />

alutaceous, with a few coarse, deep punctures laterally; genae elongate, finely alu­<br />

tacoous; eye with lower lobe ovate, slightly shorter than gena; antennal tubercles<br />

prominent, with a short, robust, subacute process at apex, which is curved pos­<br />

teriorly. Prenotum transverse, sides straight, apex about one-third nturower than<br />

base; apical transverse sulcus nearly straight, basal one oblique laterally; disk at<br />

middle with It feeble, elongate tubercle reaching from basal sulcus to middle, either<br />

side of middle and slight.ly more apical a brQ'\d, feebly elevated tubercle; lateral<br />

tubercles wanting but in their usual poition a. cluster of punctate granules. Scutel­<br />

lum transverse; sides straight, oblique; apex subtruneate. Elytra with sides<br />

straight, feebly attenuate; apices separately rounded; base of each elytron with a<br />

feeble, broad gibbosity bordered on the outer margin with a wide, deep sulcus; disk<br />

very coarsely and closely punctate, punctures not much finer llpically; humeri<br />

prominent, anterior margin arcuate, angle with n very obtuse tubercle. Pro­<br />

sternum only gradually widened behind middle of procoxae; mesosternal process
