fasciae, one just before middle, second at apical third, both attain suture. Beneath<br />

dark reddish-brown, white pubescent; abdomen from second sternite ;medially<br />

glabrous, each sternite laterally with a large, irregular, glabrous macula. Legs<br />

dark reddish-brown, thinly white pubescent; tarsi and basal h(llI of claw segment<br />

pale gray pubescent. Antennae with scape piceous, remaining segments paler,<br />

with only apice.:> piceous; scnpe thinly, pale gray pubescent, apex wit·h a large,<br />

dark brown macula; remnining segments thinly gray pube:;:ccnt on basal half.<br />

Head above minutely :llutnceous, with fine .sparse punctures interslJersed, a.<br />

median impressed line from occiput to just below middle of front ; front elongate,<br />

broad, sides straight, only feebly oblique, entire surface finely, spa.rsely punctate<br />

and vtith scattered, very course punctures; genae much elongate, narrow, slightly<br />

narrower at eye, surface very finely, sparsely punctate; eye with lower lobe very<br />

small, subquadrate, two-fifths genal height; antenna! tubercles prominent, sub­<br />

approximate, at ape.'( with a robust, acute tooth. Pronotum transverse, conicnl,<br />

sides straight, feebly oblique, unarmed; basal and apical transverse sulcus wide,<br />

shallow, former oblique latemlly; disk at middle towards base with an elongate,<br />

broad, feebly elevated tubercle, on either side slightly more apical a very brand,<br />

rounded, feebly elevated tubercle; entire disk with coar.se, scattered granules, base<br />

and a. small, rounded area Jaternlly with a few setigerous punctate granules.<br />

Scutellum transverse, sides vcry broadly arcuate, apex broadly rounded, sometimes<br />

feebly notched medially. Elytra with sides broadly arcuate, moderately attenuate,<br />

apices separately rounded; each elytron at base with an elongate, feebly arcuate<br />

gibbosity, which do not meet lit suture; surface from base to first fascia at middle<br />

sparsely, conrsely grlllluinte-punctnte, thencc to apex only sparsely, ooletely<br />

punctate; humeri very prominent and elevated, anterior margin feebly aTCU!ltc,<br />

very ob lique, angle with a large tubercle which is obliquely truncate at apex, a<br />

distinct costa. laterally from humerus to ncar apex. Prost.emum moderate in<br />

\\,idth, abruptly widened behind middle; mesosternul process broad, at tip bilobecUy<br />

emarginate; fifth sternite about half again as long 8S fourth, at apex truncate,<br />
