each with nn indistinct arcuate vitta of gray or yellow-gray pubescence from be<br />
neath humeri touching suturo just behind middle, then continuing to lateral position<br />
nt apex, remainder of surface with minute, scattered patches of same color. Be<br />

usually gray medially, later:llly with indistinct touches of dark brown; abdomen<br />
with each sternite laterally having a small, elongate, yellowish macula, which de<br />

with minute glabrous areas IlS in the undersurface. Antennae dark brown or piceous,<br />
thinly gra.y or yellow·gray pubescent, more or less mottled with small, indistinct,<br />
rounded patches of brownish, apices slightly darkel".<br />
Head above minutely alutaceous, with a median impressed line from occiput to<br />
near epistoma on front; front elongate, narrow, widened slightly below lower lobe<br />
of eyes, surface minutely nlutaccous; genae elongate, narrow, surface slightly pubes.<br />
cent, minutely aiutaceous and with a few scattered, coarse punctureil; cye with<br />
lower lobe narrow, eiongate-oblong, ncarly two and one-half times genal height;<br />
antennal tubercles distant, moderately prominent, at :\pex with a short, robust<br />
horn wbich is erect or slightly curved posteriorly. Pronotum transverse, sides<br />
strnight, not armed; base half again as wide as apex; a.pical sulcus interrupted<br />
medially. basal one subfovcate either side of middle and laterally oblique to middle;<br />
disk at middle just before basal sulcus with a. rather elongate tubercle and either<br />
side of middle more apical a very broad tumescence, InteraUy at base with a few<br />
setigerous punctate grnnulcs. Scutcllwn transverse; sides straight, oblique; apex<br />
broadly rouuded, sometimes nearly subtruncate, feebly notched medially. Elytra '<br />
with sides almost straight, feebly attenuate apically; apices separately, broadly<br />
rounded; each ely troll with a broad, feebly elevated, more or less arcuate gibbosity<br />
at base; basal quarter moderately punctate with coar5e, deep pUllcture, whi ch bc<br />
come finer and sparser to middle, thence to apex nearly obsolete; humeri prominent,<br />
anterior margin arcuate, no tubercle at posterior angle but there is a short carina<br />
extending from the angle to basal third laterally. Prosternum widened behind<br />
middle; mesosternum cmarginate medially. Fifth sternite nearly onc and one-half<br />
times length of fourth, cm(lrginate at a.pex. Legs robust; procoxae globose, very<br />
feebly, obtusely tubercled; profemora robust, more gradually clavate than others,<br />
feebly rugose on basal third on dorsal and ventral surfaces ; metatibiae widened ap-<br />
ically; protarsi slightly dilated. Antennae about one-third longer than body ; scape<br />
very gradually clavate, reaehing nnly to apical third of prollotum, with several<br />
grooves internally and externally on basal third, remainder of surface finely, densely<br />
punctate; third segment slender, feebly sinllate, about one-half again as long as<br />
scapc; fimbriate nearly entire length, Jess hcavily so on last several segments.<br />
FEMALE. Slightly more robust; prosternwn much widened behind middle of<br />
procoxaei fifth sternitc at apex sub·truncate, feebly triangu1arly impressed at<br />
middle; legs less robust. proremora more abruptly clavate, Illclafemora not widened<br />
apically; antennae as long or only slightly longer than body; seRpe not grooved<br />
basally.<br />
