Antennae slightly longer than body ; scape robust, gradually clavate, reaching nearly<br />

to middle of pronotum, either side at base with two or three deep grooves, remainder<br />

of surface finely, densely punctate; third segment feebly sinuate, one-fourth again<br />

as long as seape; fimbriate on all segments, only very slightly so from fourth.<br />

FEMALE. More robust, less attenuate apically; antennal processes less distinct;<br />

fifth sternite with It broad, triangular impression apically; profemorn not rugose<br />

basally; metatibiae not dilated apically; antonnae as long as body or slightly<br />

shorter; scape less robust, not grooved basally.<br />

LENGTH 10.5 mm.; width 3.75-4.25 mm.<br />

Related to Lampedusa but body not so attenuate; front slightly<br />

more narrowed between eyes j eye with lower lobe broadly oblong<br />

(not elongate-oblong), slightly taller than gena ; pronotum with<br />

discul tumescences more globose, sides feebly tuberculate j humeri<br />

very briefly carinate, carina not extending beyond basal one-third<br />

of elytra j antennae much longer than body in male, senpe more<br />

strongly clavate apically, third segment strongly bisinuate; procoxae<br />

with a prolonged conical tubercle in male.<br />

Moderately small-sized, clongate-ovate, rnther robust, conve., beetles. Head<br />

with front elongate, moderate ill width, distinctly narrowed between eyes, nearly<br />

paralld-sided below eycs; genae vertical; eyes with lower lobe broadly oblong,<br />

slightly taHer than gena; antennal tubercles robust, prominent, distinctly separated,<br />

armed at al)Cx in male with a distinct tooth. Pronotum slightly transverse, sides<br />

irregular, only slightly narrowed anteriorly, with a low, obtuse tuberclc behind<br />

middle; discal tumescences distinct, subglobose. Scutellum transverse. Elytra only<br />

slightly attenuate apically; basal gibbosities slightly promincnt; disk l!t bltsc coarsely<br />

punctate, without granules; humeri slightly projecting, angle with a long prominent<br />

tubercle, followed by II rather hort carina which extends only indistinctly to baS3l<br />

third of eiytra. Presternum rather narrow, feebly e:\:panded posteriorly, simple;<br />

mesosternal process a little longer than wide, sides emargin:lte, expanded apically,<br />

apex bilobedly emarginatc. Legs moderate in length; procoxae with :m elongate,<br />

conical tubercle in male; femora rather robust, gradually clavate apically. profemom
