or less tumid, with a fecble, elongate, median tubercle ilnd a much stronger and<br />

broader one each side, these lateral ones traversed by an oblique, linear impression,<br />

entire disk coarsely, but not densely, punctate. Scutellum st.rongly trnnsverse,<br />

sides rounded, narrowing slightly behind, apex broadly arcuate. Elytra with<br />

sides straight, moderately tapering to apices, which are separately rounded; base<br />

toward suture each side with an elongate, moderately distinct gibbosity, which<br />

is sparsely and nnely punctatc, rest of disk very sparsely, fincly punctate, p'lncta·<br />

tion behind gibbosc portion uulllly obscured by pubescence; humeri strongly<br />

projootillg and elevated, the antenor margin straight Ilnd strongly oblique, the<br />

po,sterior margin rounded, concave, surmounted by a very strong, oblique crest,<br />

running from the angle hilifway to suture; sides below and behind humerus, as<br />

weH tiS posterior fnce of humeral crest, coarsely and sparsely punctate. Prosternum<br />

narrow, simple. Procoxlle very large, anteriorly with a robust, short uncus;<br />

femora clavate, profemora robust, cylindrical, constricted slightly medially, in­<br />

distinctly but conrsely rugose beneath; metatibine widened gradunily to apex, not<br />

swollen. Fifth slemile distinctly longer than fourth, apex broadly arcuate.<br />

Antennae one-hnlf longer than body, finely fimbriate bli'neath only on third and<br />

fourth segments ; seape short, robUBt, Obcollieal, beneath on basal haii coarsely,<br />

transversely rugose; third segment slightly arcuate basally, straight at apex ;<br />

eleventh subequnl to tenth, arount.e, without apical process.<br />

Fi:UALE. Antennal tubercles- apically with short, blunt teeth ; proeoxac smaller,<br />

anteriorly ull1l.rmed; profcmorn robust, cl:w:l.te, not rugose beneath, metatibiae<br />

not densely setosc; fifth sternite twice length of fourth, broadly but shallowly,<br />

triangularly impressed, npc.x retuse.<br />

Distinct from L. acromii in the humeri being tubercled, not<br />

crested ; elytra at base distinctly granulate--pullctate; antennae<br />

with bases of segments from third reddish-brown, not testaceous,<br />

as are the bases of the tarsal claw segments.<br />

MALE. Elongate-ovate, robust, convex; head and pronotum piceous, eiytra<br />

dark reddish-brown. Head and pronotum white pubescent, occiput and vertex
