Very similar in appearance to H. 'tesiope from which it differs
in having the elytra basally more closely and coarsely punctate, the
whitish mottling more or Jess uniform over lUost of apical two­
thirds, poorly defined, maculae not as distinct, sides as disk, not ful­
vons except basally; humeri less projecting, tubercle at angle more
rounded ; antennae with scape more robust, third segment one­
fourth longer than scape ; p1'ocoxae not tuberculate in male; meta­
tibiae not annulate, 01' only very indistinctly so ; abdomen medially
thinly covered with gray pubescence.

brown; head, pronotUIll, and basal fifth of elytra light fulvoU3 pubescent, and with
dark grayish-brown 11.8 follows: Head with four broad viUae, one either side of
middle, irrcgulttr, converging on vertex, one either side from posterior margin of
lower lobe of eye, front somewhnt variegated; pronotum with a vitta either side of
