Head minutely alutnceous, with a median impressed line from occiput to<br />
clypeus; front nearly of equal width throughout, constricted slightly above clypeus,<br />
deeply concave and imp between :'Intennal tubercles, slightly tumid at center,<br />
transversely impressed above clypeu8, entire surface very finely, not densely<br />
punctate; genae elongate, vertical, narrowed just below eye, very finely, not densely<br />
punctate; eye with lower lobe oblong, small, equal to two-thirds the height of gena;<br />
sntennal tuberdcs robust, prominent, well separated, unnnned at al)Cx. Pronotum<br />
strongly transverse, sides nearly straight, narrowed gradually to npex, unarmed;<br />
spicsl and basal transverse sulci shallow, the latter coalescent with the very short,<br />
shallow, oblique lateral ones; entire disk tumid, including central portion, SO that<br />
there is no separate median tubercle, the part each side of middle more strongly<br />
elevated, between middlc and side a short, disinct, longitudinal impression, along<br />
basal sulcus eoarsely and sparsely punctate. Scutellum strongly transverse, sides<br />
straight, oblique, apex broadly rounded, notched medially, not elcvnted or produced<br />
laterally. Elytra with sides nearly straight, tapering to apices, which Ilre separ<br />
ately rounded; ba.sal gibbosity not very promincnt, between it and humerus and<br />
behind it a sinunte, longitudinal (then obliquc) imprCS!lion, entire base coarsely,<br />
not densely, uniformly punctate, behind middle punctures suddenly finer nnd shal<br />
lower, obsolete before apex; humeri strongly projecting and elevated, anterior<br />
margin straight, slightly oblique, anglc acute, with a very inrge, prominent, curved<br />
tubercle, which is continued, crestlike, by an elevated carinn, this extends strongly<br />
obl iquely for n space equal in length to the anterior margin, thcn runs longitudin<br />
ally for a shorter dist{lnce and fades into the disk; sides below humeri punctate as<br />
disk. Prosternum simple, rather broad, expanded only at extreme bnse. Procoxae<br />
anteriorly tumid and armed with an obtusely angulatcd, robust uncus ; femora.<br />
elongate, clavate, profemora robust, subcylindrical, narrowed at base and apex,<br />
bencath very finely rugose; mesotibine and metatibiae equally and strongly expanded<br />
apically, densely sctose. Fifth sternite slightly longer than fourt.h, apex broadly<br />
rounded, feebly cmarginate at middle. Antennae one-third again as loug IlS body,<br />
eighth segment surpassing elytral apex, beneath sparsely fimbrillte on proximal<br />
three segments; SCRpe robust, compressed, gradually and strongly clnv:lte from base,<br />
beneath at base irregularly rugose; third segment one and two-fifths times the length<br />
of first, feebly bisinuousj fourth Ilnd fifth succCS5ively shorter, rest rubeqllnl,<br />
'eleventh with a short process at apex.<br />
