As the nymotypic form but pubescence above yellow-brown to fulvous; the<br />
front largely yellowish-white, variegated with brownish; clytra with white maculae<br />
less dense, not so distinct, more or less confined to apical two-thirds ; antennae dark<br />
brown or fuscous pubescent, usually annulate with hoary on bases of all segments<br />
from fourth.<br />
LENGTH 13-18 mm.; width 5.5-7.5 mm.<br />
Type locality.-Montevideo.<br />
Distribution.-Extreme southern Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay,<br />
and into Argentina.<br />

Most closely related to Clytemnestra in having the antennal<br />
tubercles contiguous and the front narrowed above. From that<br />
genus, it differs in tbe more slender and less convex form of the<br />
body, only feebly tapering behind j the elytral maculation more<br />
complex, usually baving glabrous maculae and sometimes a median<br />
fascia j and elytra simply punctate.
