maculae of white which do not attain the discal fasciae. Body beneath fuscous,<br />

rather thinly covered with bright fulvousgray or pale rosyfulvous pubescence<br />

somewhat mottled with brownish; abdomen medially black or piclX'lus, sparsely<br />

and irregularly honry pubescent, laterally broadly vittate with pale rosyfulvous,<br />

the vittne more or less broken into maC\llae on each sternite, much nurrowed on<br />

first sternite, less strongly o on se(!ond, on fifth ne.:trly subdivided transversely into<br />

two maculae each side. Legs fuscous; profemora irregularly gray pubescent,<br />

coarsely mottled with brownish, mcso and metafemora distinctly covered with pale<br />

rosyfulvous pubescence, bro..'l.dly annulate with brown at middle; tibiao and L'l.I'si<br />

sparsely hoary pubescent, the former annulate at middle with rosy or hoary pubescence;<br />

claw segment of tarsi black, its basal half rosyyellowisb. Antennae<br />

fuscous, basal quarter of all segments from third r05yyellowish; sca])C covered<br />

with fulvous-gray or pale rosy-fulvous pu\)Cscence, mottled with brown, remaining<br />

segments dark brown pubescent, the pale bases thinly hoary pubescent.<br />

Head above with punctatioll obscurred by pubescencc, a median line from<br />

occiput nearly to epistorna; front broadly concave between antennal tubercles,<br />

minutely, densely punctate, without trace of larger punctures, feebly nnd broadly<br />

impressed above clypcus; genne vertical, pubescent, mi nutely and densely punctate,<br />

with tl few scattered, couse, shallow punctures; eye with lower lobe oblong, not<br />

quite equal in height to gena; antennal tubercles rather prominent, more or less<br />

remote, not produced at apex. Pranotum trnnsverse, sides nearly stmight, slightly<br />

narrower apically, behind middle with a broad, fcebly elevated tubercle, at apex<br />

of which is a short tooth-like process; apical transverse sulcus feeblc, basal one<br />

deeper, interrupted each side of middle, coalescent with lateral obliquc sulci ; disk<br />

with five prominent, elongate tubercles, successively more robust from middle one<br />

to lateral ones, the latter distinctly oblique, base not visibly pUllctate. Scutellum<br />

transverse; sides straight, strongly oblique; apex broadly retuse, the angles slightly<br />

elevated but not produced. Elytrn slightly narrowed tn apices, which are separately<br />

rounded; each dik at middle towards base slightly gibbose, entire b..'l.sal<br />

half sparsely moderately punctate broadly and more densely so fllong suture, punc<br />

tures behind middle finer and gradually obsolete to apex; humeri slightly projecting,<br />

anterior margin straight, strongly oblique, angle with a moderate-size,<br />

rounded tubercle, from which rUIlS a carina posteriorly and slightly obliquely<br />

almost to middle; sides irregularly pUllctaoo. Prosternum with a transverse process<br />

between coxae. Procoxae globose, feebly tubcrculate anteriorly; femora cla<br />

vate, profcmora not rugose; metatibiae marc strongly expanded and more setosc<br />

than the others . Fifth sternite twice as long liS fourth, apex truncate, !l. broad<br />

shallow impression on apical half. Antennae liS long as body, distinctly fimbriate<br />

beneath to fifth segment, a. few following segments with setae at t.heir apices;<br />

seape elongate, slender, apicllI two-fifths suddenly capitate; third segment as long<br />

as first, strongly bisinuate; rest grndually shorter ..<br />
