for foraging. The study area is<br />

located on the edge of preferred<br />

year-round habitat.<br />

Inhabits arid, low elevation<br />

(7,000 feet). Most abundant in<br />

xeric ecosystems. Typically roosts<br />

in caves, crevices, or mines.<br />

Requires open habitat for foraging.<br />

The study area is within the known year-round<br />

geographic range and suitable habitat is present.<br />

No species-specific relicensing surveys were<br />

conducted for the Cassin’s finch and the species was<br />

not documented during point count surveys.<br />

Incidental sightings in 2011 documented the species<br />

near French Meadows reservoir.<br />

Suitable habitat is present in the study area.<br />

Pallid bat was detected during the special-status bat<br />

relicensing surveys at French Meadows dam and<br />

outlet works, Ralston afterbay dam, <strong>Middle</strong> <strong>Fork</strong><br />

interbay dam, North <strong>Fork</strong> Long Canyon diversion<br />

dam, and French Meadows powerhouse and penstock<br />

and butterfly valve house. No roost sites were<br />

documented. The species has been documented in the<br />

vicinity of French Meadows reservoir and on Duncan<br />

Creek upstream of the Duncan Creek diversion.
