a report on the action might be written or spoken in the passive voice.<br />
Aft<strong>er</strong> a robb<strong>er</strong>y, the police might be gath<strong>er</strong>ing information as to what<br />
was done, since they don’t yet know whodunit. In this report, write sentences<br />
in the passive (imp<strong>er</strong>fect) using the words between brackets. When<br />
the subject of your sentence is indefinite, begin with Er.
