damages. Whilst the technical standards put down “basic requirements” it is
likewise fair to say that these are rather vaguely worded. There is more needed
than just suitability of the packaging material. Rules on premises are only
needed if the furniture has to be stored. This gap is closed by European
standard 14873-1 on specifications for storage during furniture removal.
