(c) Phase III (2014-2020) – Advance and sustain accessible netw orks • This phase w ill detail full netw ork coverage; and • Plan to fund public transport and non-motorised transport through charging local car users for road use and parking. 3.2 Vision and Objectives for Transport in Sedibeng The Vision guides transport development (public and private) in the SDM’s area of jurisdiction in terms of both the long and short-term components of thisDITP. This Vision being craftedin consultation w ith key role playersbroadly describes a mutually shared, realistic and attractive picture of what the SDM intends to become and to accomplish in the future. VISION FOR INTEGRATED TRANSPORT PLANNING AND IMPLEMENTATION IN SEDIBENG The Sedibeng District Municipality enhances social upliftment, economic growth and the quality of life of people through the provision of peaceful, integrated, safe, reliable, frequent, affordable, accessible and convenient public transport services, facilities and roads infrastructure required for human, economic and social interaction and transporting goodsin Sedibeng.
