6.3.3 Waterfront Development along the VaalRiver The Waterfront developments w ill offer opportunities for the development of a mixed use tourism, w ater sports and education, residential and leisure centre through the provision of (see FIGURES 6.8(a), 6.8(b) and 6.9): • A water sports centre and related facilities; • Hotels and related facilities; • Waterfront luxury residential developments; • Water theme parks; • The DickinsonPark recreation hub w ill be developed into a multi-purpose events and view ing site w ith associated retail and hospitality opportunities; and • The development of the proposed business park w ill offer a high quality office park linked to the CBD and the w aterfront.
