The typology of the services of recreation is based on a series of defined functions. A
classification of these functions can be made according to the criterias made on the EU level,
according to the typological schema below:

- animation for pure relaxation, of disconnection with the daily activities, (e.g.: taking
sun baths, walkings – tracking, visiting different objectives);
- recreative animation, mainly constituted by loisir parks; general (e.g.: amusement
places), thematic (e.g.: nautical, planetarium, zoological), reservations, casinos;
- commercial animation generated by the fact that usual or specific shoppings (e.g.:
gifts, souvenirs, workmanship articles);
- the animation orientated towards the achievement of a complete physical condition
refers to the wide typology of networks, from the bathing places to those of losing weight,
cosmetics, fitness;
- the cultural animation having as objective the knowledge, the formation and education
of the tourist, emphasizing the moral aspect of his/her personality;
