joint reception <strong>com</strong>plex — The group <strong>of</strong> nodes (air and/or sea) designated by the supported<br />

<strong>com</strong>batant <strong>com</strong>mand, in coordination with the host nation and United States<br />

Transportation Command, that receives, processes, services, supports, and facilitates<br />

onward movement <strong>of</strong> personnel, equipment, materiel, and units deploying into, out <strong>of</strong>,<br />

or within a theater line <strong>of</strong> <strong>com</strong>munications. See also group; node. (JP 3-35)<br />

joint reception coordination center — The organization, established by the Department <strong>of</strong><br />

the Army as the designated Department <strong>of</strong> Defense executive agent for the repatriation<br />

<strong>of</strong> non<strong>com</strong>batants, that ensures Department <strong>of</strong> Defense personnel and non<strong>com</strong>batants<br />

receive adequate assistance and support for an orderly and expedient debarkation,<br />

movement to final destination in the United States, and appropriate follow-on<br />

assistance at the final destination. Also called JRCC. (JP 3-68)<br />

joint reception, staging, onward movement, and integration — A phase <strong>of</strong> joint force<br />

projection occurring in the operational area. This phase <strong>com</strong>prises the essential<br />

processes required to transition arriving personnel, equipment, and materiel into forces<br />

capable <strong>of</strong> meeting operational requirements. Also called JRSOI. See also<br />

joint restricted frequency list — A time and geographically-oriented listing <strong>of</strong> TABOO,<br />

PROTECTED, and GUARDED functions, nets, and frequencies. It should be limited<br />

to the minimum number <strong>of</strong> frequencies necessary for friendly forces to ac<strong>com</strong>plish<br />

objectives. Also called JRFL. See also electronic warfare; guarded frequencies;<br />

protected frequencies; TABOO frequencies. (JP 3-13.1)<br />

joint security area — A specific surface area, designated by the joint force <strong>com</strong>mander to<br />

facilitate protection <strong>of</strong> joint bases and their connecting lines <strong>of</strong> <strong>com</strong>munications that<br />

support joint operations. Also called JSA. (JP 3-10)<br />

joint security coordination center — A joint operations center tailored to assist the joint<br />

security coordinator in meeting the security requirements in the joint operational area.<br />

Also called JSCC. (JP 3-10)<br />

joint security coordinator — The <strong>of</strong>ficer with responsibility for coordinating the overall<br />

security <strong>of</strong> the operational area in accordance with joint force <strong>com</strong>mander directives<br />

and priorities. Also called JSC. (JP 3-10)<br />

joint servicing — That function performed by a jointly staffed and financed activity in<br />

support <strong>of</strong> two or more Services. See also servicing. (JP 3-05)<br />
