synchronization — 1. The arrangement <strong>of</strong> military actions in time, space, and purpose to<br />

operation plan to ensure intelligence requirements are answered in time to influence the<br />

synchronized clock — A technique <strong>of</strong> timing the delivery <strong>of</strong> fires by placing all units on a<br />

<strong>com</strong>mon time. The synchronized clock uses a specific hour and minute based on either<br />

local or universal time. Local time is established using the local time zone. (JP 3-09.3)<br />

synthesis — In intelligence usage, the examining and <strong>com</strong>bining <strong>of</strong> processed information<br />

with other information and intelligence for final interpretation.<br />

system — A functionally, physically, and/or behaviorally related group <strong>of</strong> regularly<br />

interacting or interdependent elements; that group <strong>of</strong> elements forming a unified whole.<br />
