GSC Sentinel-2 PDGS OCD
Issue 1 Revision 2 (draft) - 25.07.2010
GMES-GSEG-EOPG-TN-09-0008
page 183 of 350
4.10.1.2.3 Service Dependencies and Constraints
As cascading from MMUS generic services, the DAIL interface service inherits the
dependencies and constraints defined in section 4.10.1.1.3.
4.10.1.2.4 Triggering Mechanism and Interface
The service will be triggered via the ngEO MMUS component and comply with the applicable
DAIL interfaces, namely the HMA Catalogue service interface [RD-14]/[RD-15] and the HMA
On-Line Access service interface [RD-16].
4.10.1.3 Coverage Interface Service to CDS/SCI
The Sentinel-2 PDGS will autonomously publish the coverage of all acquired images to the
CDS/SCI. This service aims at enabling the creation at SCI level of multi-mission coverages
based on Sentinel-2 data complemented by other GCM data.
4.10.1.3.1 Service Users
The service user is the GSCDA/CDS and more particularly its SCI component.
4.10.1.3.2 Service Characteristics
This service will autonomously and systematically push all Sentinel-2 acquired image
coverage metadata to the applicable SCI interface according to [RD-13].
4.10.1.3.3 Service Dependencies and Constraints
The timeliness of the coverage reports published through this service directly cascades from
the availability of Level-1C data from the PDGS processing chains, itself driven by the highlevel
mission operation concepts stated in the HLOP.
4.10.1.3.4 Triggering Mechanism and Interface
Service operation will be autonomous. Sentinel-2 coverage reports will be systematically
placed on the SCI interface according to [RD-13].
4.10.1.4 Performance Reporting Service to CDS/CQC
The Sentinel-2 PDGS will autonomously publish CDS Service Performance Reports (CDS-
SPR) to the GSCDA/CDS on the Sentinel-2 generated production and the quality of service
provided to the GSPs.
The Service Performance Reports will include:

Product quality reports of all acquired/generated images to the CDS/CQC necessary to
support the correct data exploitation by the GSPs;
Mission performance reports to determine the quality of service provided to the GSPs;
